Agile, backlog, kanban, sprint… What do these buzzwords really mean, and why should you care? Accenture invited the members of AWiB to learn, what should everybody know about Agile. Agile is not just for software developers. Rather, it is a mindset everyone can benefit from in their work and even in their personal life. Agile promotes iterative and incremental approach with continuous inspection and adaptation; it is a philosophy that encourages team work, self-organization and accountability. Agile is much more than a “new process” - on the contrary, it is a culturally different way of thinking and doing, and the best way to respond to unpredictability in today's ever-changing world. In this inspiring learning session we had, participants were coached by one of Accenture’s most experienced agile coaches, Anna-Maija Varho, who shared her vast experience around all things agile. Since we tend to learn by doing the session included lots of simple demonstrations that helped us understand, why it is better to do things in small increments rather than in big chunks. Accenture wants to thank all the enthusiastic AWiB members who were able to join this agile Skills Academy. Yet another fun AWiB event to host! If you are eager to learn more about Agile but you couldn’t join us last week no need to worry. Accenture is organizing a Skype webinar next week 31.10.2017 with the theme “Agile, Principles of Scaled Agile Framework”. You will learn the principles of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), an agile framework developed specifically for big enterprises, currently gaining increasing interest throughout industries.
